Ok, Step One: Start a food blog.

I totally realize that I have already missed the boat on this, but I am doing it anyway because I really love food. I also hope that writing about food will help me define my culinary aspirations, and my personal relationship with food.

I may post photos and recipes of my own original dishes, I may post photos and recipes of other people’s dishes that look good to me, and I may also post photos and recipes of dishes I created from other peoples recipes. Another thing I will probably write about is places Ben and I go to eat. I am basically going to blog about and post pictures of food that tasted amazing! It is all fair game to me!

One thing that I do a lot of is find other people’s recipes that look good and modify them in ways that I believe will make them taste and look better to me. Ben refers to this practice as “Julie’s Jazz.”

I may even blog about Ben and my diet journey a little bit, we’ll see.
