There are a lot of things I love to do. When it comes to food I love to, first of all, eat it! Secondly, I love to prepare it. Lastly, if I am not eating it or making it, I love to read and write about it. The other day I discovered the perfect place to do two of the things I love. It is a quaint little coffee shop/eatery called: Bella Vita Bistro & Coffeehouse.
The shop’s space is particularly inviting with a cozy fireplace surrounded by relaxing chairs and a sofa. Its two outer walls are comprised of windows so there is a ton of mood lifting natural light (also good for taking photos). Also, it is located in a beautiful building on Snake River Landing so the whole setting couldn’t be more perfect. I could just picture myself there curled up on one of their overstuffed lounge chairs, sipping an Italian Mocha (one of their specialty coffee drinks) while typing or surfing away on my laptop (they have free Wi-Fi).
And then there is the food! Bella Vita offers simple yet delightful sandwiches, soups, salads, quesadillas, and focaccia pizza. They also offer a tempting multitude of incredible desserts. Cookies, cheesecake, brownies, and cupcakes are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. When we visited, Ben and I shared: the REAL DON ZIEL (breakfast sandwich) with: Bacon, Cream Cheese, Tomato, Basil, Bagel served open face, the LUIG (breakfast sandwich) with: Egg, Pepper jack, Cream Cheese, and the ITALIAN (quesadilla) with: Chicken, Provolone, Parmesan, Green Peppers, Black Olives, Marinara, Basil in Tomato Basil Tortilla. We also each had a slice of their decadent frosted cheesecake. Everything was just so simple and good. I am kicking myself for not trying the coffee. But it was late in the day and I am planning on going back soon anyway.
Bella Vita is the perfect place to visit on a lazy Sunday afternoon for coffee, a slice of something amazing and sweet, and a peacefully comfortable setting. I can’t wait to go back!
