I had to drive around town today on the worst roads, in a practical blizzard!
I wanted something hot to drink at 20 mph.
I’ve had this packet of bone broth protein powder sitting in my pantry for a month. I wasn’t sure what to do with it because I put a packet of the vanilla flavor in my oatmeal a couple weeks ago and it made it taste a little like vanilla flavored oatmeal turkey gravy.
It’s definitely different!
But, while I was brewing my cup I spotted the packet and thought,”What the hell? The worst that could happen is I screw up 16 oz. of Seattle’s Best.”
It was surprisingly delicious! The powder, when added to hot water, has a fatty/meaty quality. It sort of rounded out the any of the bitterness of the coffee like cream would. But, it wasn’t hard on my stomach the way cream can sometimes be.
Now, I’m going to have to buy a canister of the stuff!
It’s going to be my new 98 calorie, 20 grams of protein, pick me up!
