figure competition prep. my daily journal

I’m not on a paleo diet. But, I thought these freezer meals looked super fun and fancy! Their macros were right where I would need them as well.

I’m not on any specific diet. I’m just trying to give my body what it needs so my muscles will grow.

It actually sounds pretty simple when I say it out loud. 1350 calories per day (40% protein, 30% fat, and 30% carbohydrates). And if I burn 300 calories working out I eat 300 more calories.

It’s sort of a pain in the ass tracking all of it though. Someday it will become 2nd nature. But, for now, I track because if I’m not making progress I want to know why.

The first two weeks of changing habits are hard. After a month you start noticing changes in the way you feel physically and mentally and it gets easier. Not easy! Just easier than, hard.

I still crave my favorite fats and sugars. Day before yesterday I made Will a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I stuck my nose in the jar of peanut butter about a dozen times just to smell it.

I can have peanut butter. But, I’m not ready to eat it “in moderation”. I’m used to peanut butter in servings no less than maybe 1/2 of a cup. That’s somewhere in the neighborhood of ~750 calories.

So I’m choosing to not have it for awhile. And I’m actually starting to look forward to the foods I’m eating all the time now. It probably has a lot to do with how they make me feel physically.

It’s that time! I hope whoever you voted for wins! Unless they’re a misogynistic pussy grabber!
