Not that I’ve cheated. Because I haven’t.
But, I was thinking about an article I read about cheating.
It basically said that no matter how your weekend goes (if you drank too much, ate too much, didn’t workout) you should always reset on Monday! Never let yourself get away with skipping a Monday! Even if you feel like garbage from overindulging! Force yourself to feed yourself good food and get to the gym!!!
I love that idea! I’ve pretty much lived by that rule for the past 3 years. Even before I read the article. I believe it’s helped me maintain my weight between 145 and 155 that entire time.
I’ve had plenty of Monday morning food hangovers from Saturday and Sunday night cheating! They feel a little like a real hangover.
Sick stomach, headache, water retention (swollen sausage fingers) from the intake of copious amounts of sodium. But, sometimes they really are worth it!
I’m in the groove right now though so I’m not missing cheating at the moment.
But, after my competitions are over in June I’m going to celebrate.
But, I promise, come Monday morning I’ll be back in the NY groove no matter what!
