Weighed in at 132 lbs. today.
Saw these Valentine’s themed Ding Dongs at the store the other night.
They’re not tempting. I’ve had enough Ding Dongs in my lifetime to know the cake is dry and the chocolate coating is waxy and seriously lacking in flavor.
But, they look super cute on the package. And they represent a fun food day (Valentine’s) as well as my childhood. I took regular Ding Dongs to grade school as a treat for my classmates in honor of my birthday one year. I can’t remember which birthday it was.
I’m not a food snob. I’m not scared of processed foods like this. I’m in prep so I’m not going to eat stuff like this right now. But, if I wasn’t in prep and I wanted to try them I would.
I really like the 80/20 food principle. I think I’ve actually lived it unknowingly throughout certain periods of my life.
I can’t live my life terrified of food. And the longer I track my calories and macros the more it all comes together in my mind.
I’m starting to understand what foods my body will simply tolerate and which foods it tolerates well.
Someday I want my mind to be in perfect harmony with my body when it comes to exercise and food!
