On my way out of my club (GYM) the other night I noticed a new vendor had set up shop in a corner on the main floor. In his kiosk a woman was standing very still on a revolving platform almost like she was getting an X-ray.
I saw fliers set up on an adjacent table describing what was going on.
The device is set up to take an extreme amount of high speed photos of your body while you rotate on a platform so it accounts for pretty much every square inch. This Club Solutions article does a great job describing how it works. It generates a whole body 3D avatar that the company emails to you with all of your important measurements (e.g. waist, chest, hips, etc…).
You can also create a private profile on their website in case you decide to track your muscle building and/or weight loss progress with future scans, which is exactly what I intend to do!
It was so cool to be able to get all my body measurements in one shot! I hate trying to keep track of this stuff with everything else I have going on in my life. It’s time (and brain power) consuming! I love technology that can store my stats so all I have to think about is what I eat and fitting in my workouts.
It’s so motivating! I want to sign up for at least three more sessions so I can track my measurements all the way down to my bridesmaid goal weight!
Why not just take photos?
First of all, I love the idea if the identical reproducible geometry. Secondly the blue avatar takes a lot of other “mental” factors out of the equation. You get the shape and measurement facts without getting distracted by how tired and washed out you look, or how you appear in your swimsuit, or how winter has treated your skin.
Haha! It looks like I need to work on my waistline!
FYI, this was not a sponsored post (I did not get paid to write about this product).
I just like the product, and wanted to share it with you. Plus, I think it will motivate me to get my butt in gear! I want my stats and avatar to be trending downward by the end of next month!
