Since I’m in the market for a more athletic looking and healthy feeling body I was browsing Flickr for some examples of the type of body I’m aiming for. I asked Ben which women athletes are known for having the “best looking” bodies. He was like, “Probably beach volleyball.”
Maybe it’s because they wear the least amount of clothes compared to other sports but a lot of them do seem to have that athletic, ultra healthy looking glow. I’m sure their tans contribute to their overall allure.
Calorie counting went great until the holiday. But, Ben and I planned it that way. We knew we were going to relax on the 4th and 5th and I wasn’t going to count calories those days.
Consequently my weight didn’t change much but at least I didn’t gain.
My focus for the next three weeks is to stick to counting calories (1200 to 1500 per day).
My workout routine will stay the same as it has for the past few months.
I strength train (e.g. Group Power) three days per week and do Stair Climber or Cycling two to three days per week.
I’m using two apps to track my calories and fitness. The app I’m using to count calories is MyFitnessPal. The app I’m using to track my fitness is Fitbit (because I have a Fitbit fitness tracker). Fitbit will let you track calories but their food library isn’t as extensive as MyFitnessPal. Plus, I’m used to calorie tracking with MyFitnessPal. And, as an added bonus, the apps play very well together! Both are super easy to use!
Here are all my stats for week 1. Let me know if you have any questions. Hopefully we can all learn something about counting and burning calories. See you next week!
