I’m considering this to be my key Valentine’s Day recipe for the year. I figure if it’s heart shaped and/or includes red and/or pink you’re good to go!
I think these white chocolate cheesecake brownies with cherry chips scream Valentine’s Day! Although I probably should’ve cut them into heart shapes. I didn’t want to press my luck though. The flavor and texture of these brownies turned out so awesome and unique I didn’t want to mess them up for photos so I stuck with squares.
The batter didn’t indicate to me that they would turn out so wonderfully! It was thin and smooth like cake batter. I didn’t think they would be fudgy like brownies but they were.
I realize these aren’t really brownies. I understand they’re white. The author of the original recipe had a good point though. Blondies have more of a cookie texture and these really are like brownies (texturally) only they’re white in color.
I finally came across the recipe I adapted these brownies from after searching for about an hour.
It’s an interesting story. I found a beautiful photo on Pinterest of some white chocolate brownies. I clicked on the photo to make sure it led to an actual recipe (which it did) and I pinned it. Later I went back to the pin and its recipe to look it over. I could tell the recipe did not match what was in the photo. I immediately deleted my pin so others would not be led astray. I searched pin after pin of this photo and couldn’t locate the original recipe.
I finally Googled images of white chocolate brownies and the image I had formally pinned on Pinterest came up. I clicked on the image and it led me to the original photo and recipe on the food blog: Nook & Pantry. I tried to pin the photo from this site but it was not pin-able.
So, pretty much any pin you find with that image probably won’t lead to the correct recipe. At least now anyone who reads this post will have access to the original post, recipe, and original photos.
The original recipe is actually called Green Tea Cheesecake White Chocolate Brownie and contains Green Tea (which looks and sounds compelling but not very Valentine-ish).
I’m not complaining about Pinterest (I Love Pinterest)! I’m complaining about people who pin photos that don’t lead to original sources. I understand some people don’t know they have done it (like me) and also some (new users) don’t know they should (at least I think they should). I’m complaining about the people who do it on purpose. Clearly, in this case, it was on purpose!
Spammers essentially will use someone else’s gorgeous photos to lure people to their spammy sites! It’s so incredibly annoying!
Anyway, I’ll stop rambling on about my whole Pinterest ordeal. These white brownies were phenomenal you should bake some up and eat them on Friday!
Happy Valentine’s Day and have a wonderful weekend!!!

P.S. If anyone ever comes across something I pinned that leads you to the wrong site please let me know and I will fix it. I try to screen every image I pin.

I knew most of those. But, there were a couple of them that I was saying wrong. Good article, thanks!
